i have received an important attachment that could not be open becouse may contain a virus.how to open it

I would contact the original sender and ask them to check it out and resend. But I have gotten the message saying that my computer was "unable to scan and this message may contain a virus" a few times. I open the messages and have never had a problem.

hi, i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

Yahoo! mail don't allow its user to open attachment which infected by virus.
By the way, it's also risky for you to open it.
Try to ask the person who sent you the mail to scan it and resend to you (",)

Don't do it. I did and it cost me big $$ to get someone to take 21 viruses out of my computer that got there in a short amount of time.

Scan it with your anti-virus software. If it's clean, open it.
