To those Americans who insist on trotting out WW2 as a response to any criticism from France, remember you wouldn't have won independence if the French hadn't blockaded British reinforcements. So I rather think you still owe them.
But both are great countries - why can't you get along?

You are also prejudiced by your media and by listening to other people who are as ignorant as you are.
My advice - take a walk outside your shell. People are the same just about anywhere you go. You'll always find some who make others look bad, but otherwise most are the same.
Also, if you get your opinions from the popular media sources in France you're probably getting a prescribed perspective of Americans, just as unaware Americans are getting a prescribed perspective of France. It's called propaganda and both of our countries are heavily engaged in it.

So what happened to France when the German's invaded at the start of WWII? Oh wait you guys suck and had to call the US as well as others to help your sorry butts then wont lift a finger to help us when we have a cause like being attacked by terrorists.
