I'd be that one in the box, that some one saved from their old crayon, that no one used & just couldn'd throw away, & the time someone want to try me I've gone all hard & brittle & the only colour I leave behind is a trail of crumbs, I guess a dirt like colour

Not sure, but I would be a Crayola one, no cheap imitation! I like blue, so probably a blue Crayola crayon!
Don't you just hate the plastic crayons that don't colour properly!
Crayons much better than felt tips, a longer life expectancy. Better than pencils don't need sharpening, and don't wear out like chalk.
Would quite like to be paint though (but not a watercolour!) emulsion, bring colour to a whole room- cool!

Black, it's so versitile.
I'd draw all the outlines then and get a crayon friend to colour it in.
