It's been several years, but I still remember this "coincidence" like it was yesterday.
I couldn't sleep that night, it was too warm (I live in the Phoenix area). Around 5:00 a.m. I decided to drive to Circle K and get something cold to drink. As I was parking my truck I heard the pay phone outside the building ringing. It must have rang 20 times so I decided to answer it.
The phone call was FOR ME!!!!! It was someone I do not see often. They asked for me as if I answered that phone all the time. I couldn't believe it. I asked them why they called me there and right at that time and they never did answer.
What do you think.........uncanny coincidence or not? By the way, I never did recover from my suprise to ask them what they were calling about.

I've got 2:
-I'd had a really bad month, and I said to my mum "I could do with a week JUST ONE WEEK of things going right for once!!"
That week I met my bf and he asked me out, I found a nice flat to rent at even less than I wanted to spend per month, I passed both my theory and my practical driving test and I started a new job, which I'm still doing and I really enjoy!!! THAT was a good week!
-Also, this one is coincidence/superstition: My bf's mum went into hospital to have a routine op, and as we were driving her there, I saw one magpie - I knew something was going to go wrong. I'm not usually superstitious, but this was a deep feeling. She was in intensive care for 9 days after the op, and on the 9th day I went to visit her - as I was walking to the hospital door, one single magpie hopped right in front of me, stopped, then flew off. By the time I got to the hospital room, my bf told me his mum had died about 2 mins before. That was the exact time when I saw the magpie outside.
Scary!

I've had several. When I was still in school my younger brother
was in track. He was trying to become accomplish in
hurdles but succeeded in tearing up his right knee. He had an upcoming track meet, his first, and he wanted to attend more than anything. So he faked being healed, swore me to secrecy,
and went. I asked him when we was running so I could cross my fingers for luck. He ran around 1:00p.m.. At 1:00 I started shaking
like I was having a seizure. This lasted for about 1 minute then I stopped. When i got home I found out my brother had won. He
came in first.

myself.
1982: I was in 5th grade, and Hurricane Iwa was coming towards my island. We were warned to stay away from the beaches, and the wind was picking up. Of course, like any kid, i immediately ran to the beach to see the hurricane. My mom freaked out, but the hurricane turned and hit the neighboring islands, causing millions in damages.
1992: I was on a plane traveling to visit my sister in California, when the pilot announced that we would be flying higher than normal to go over Hurricane Iniki, that was coming towards my island. As we were approaching the hurricane, the pilot made another announcement: the hurricane had turned and we wouldn't need to deviate from our flight plan.
1999: I was teaching English in Pusan, South Korea (southern tip of the peninsula), when word came that a tropical storm was heading our way. I told my students the two stories above, and that they wouldn't need to worry. Sure enough, the storm turned before hitting pusan, and landed in the northern part of South Korea, causing flooding that killed (iirc) 20 people.
2005: A few weeks after Hurricane Katrina, another hurricane, estimated to be larger and more devestating than Katrina, formed in the Pacific and started heading towards my island. it disappated before landfall.
oh, and i met my evil twin. she left mississippi just before katrina hit, and she had several stories about similar occurances where right after leaving, a large storm would hit the area she was in. having the two of us in the same workplace must have done something, because this year, oahu experienced something like 50 consecutive days of heavy rains and flash floods.
