The simple answer to this question is YES. The X-Factor type show on TV is only a modern version of talent shows which are held regularly up and down the country both here in UK and USA. Young talent in particular needs to be seen by the wider public. The most up-to-date method of showing your talent to the world is to go online with your own webcam and do your act. There are places for this or you can create your own website.

Oh come on people where is you sense of humour. You could not watch the x factor start to finish with a straight face especially in the audition stages. These people go on it willingly and are there to be laughed at.... I love it....

No, we don't need reality TV, if we wanted to see ordinary Joe Public we could sit in the park, or town or something watching them making a fool of themselves everyday so why should we watch them and have to pay for the privilege or not as the case may be.

I love the X Factor, but what I really enjoy are the auditions with all the terrible people who think they can sing but can't

Oh God Yes!!! The best is the beginning when they are doing the auditions, I dont really watch it after that. But what a laugh it is! infact if Jim'll Fix it were still on I would write in and ask to be made a judge! but hey thats just my sense of humour...;0)

Well, it's fun to watch, but I don't think the winners are gonna make much success anyway. Although, if X-Factor disappeared from the screen, I wouldn't be bothered.

No, they trample on thousands of kid to make money. The winners get very little in their first 12 months, the only winners are the 3 judges

We don't really need anything like that but if the TV companies get enough interest and continue to do well from them then we're stuck with them!
