Giant dogs = high authority.
Fighting = confronting, anger stored in your mind.
It could mean that you are being criticized by high authority such as teacher, parents, cops, boss, etc. You have this hidden hatred or anger in your subconscious mind. You projected them as giant dogs so you can beat them up. However, whether you are winning is one thing. Giant dogs symbolized what they are. Fighting them symbolize how you handle your anger, basically, you just vent it out in dreams
