Windows XP (without an update or SP install) suddenly stopped recognizing all of my PC Cards. The Device Manager shows that the PCMCIA slots are there and working, but nothing happens when I put a card in the slot. No hardware messages, no beeps, nothing. I tried removing PCMCIA adapters listed in the Device Manager and XP reinstalled them on reboot, but still does not recognize anything I put in the slots. The BIOS doesn't have any PCMCIA settings that could be affecting it either.

First of all see if you have disabled your PCMCIA card. If it is being shown correctly, then reinstall the drivers. Also You can face this problem if you some hardware problem.
But I generally face this problem when the password or thename used to access the Access Point is altered. Please re enter the login name, domain and password. This should solve your problem.
