On my friends PC at work there was one administrator account called "Administrator" then he created another administator account under his name. When he logged off and went to the welcome screen, he noticed that the "Administrator" account had disappeared. He created another administrator account called "Administrator 2" to see if it would overwrite his account or make it disappear, then he got a warning saying that he could only have two admin accounts so he would have to make one a limited-user account, so he made that change to his account. After these changes, the original account still isn't popping up. What happened?

When restarting windows Press F8, It will give you a list of boot options. Choose "Safe Mode", The computer will start in safe mode. In this mode you will be able to find out the disappeared Administrator account that you are looking for.

PS. This applies to Windows XP
