i recently installed a newer version of windows xp on my pc but i found out it was pirated. i then tried to rollback to my previous installation but it wont let me! it says i need to reboot from my older disc but my cd drive is broken. i tried using an external drive but it didn't work. please, i need help, suggestions, anything

bury it, burn it, beat the crap out of it and buy a new one....teach the PC to be discipline...once my notebook was not operating like normal...to teach the frigging notebook a lesson, i threw it out of the window....i set examples to other things which i own...if you don't listen, u r going out with style.

All of my electronics and equipments are working well and fine, i have no complaints, yet.

Remember Kids, DONT TRY THIS AT HOME.

I had this EXACT same problem with my HP ZE 4400, the system restore CD's won't work on an external drive, however a standard windows XP CD WILL, if that still doesn't help you find a cheap laptop CD-rom and install it, it's not that difficult and you can find many sites around that will help you.

there is not a hole lot you can do.

If you get a exterior usb drive and one that can be used as aboot device then you can do it otherwise go out and buy a cheap cd drive and install it free.

if u have internet connection u may go to bootdisk.com and copy all setup files to secondary partition and make ur primary partition bootable through floppy by downloading files from bootdisk.com
