Why "in god's name" would the Pope want the President of the United Nations to visit him? As the "Big Poobah" of the Catholic Church, the Pope's priority is not the United Nations; and, he is not publicallly going to involve himself, the Vatican, or Catholic communities around the word in the political maneuverings of the United Nations.
Anyone can request an "audience" with the Pope; and, if the President of the United Nations, the President of the United States, Fidel Castro, or you or I wanted to do so, there is a defined protocol for this. I'm sure his/her request would be considered.

The President of the United Nations, Sir ? I don't think The U.N have ANY president, as neither IT would in the future. The U.N
body has only one 'Head' that is the Secretary General, or as it is, which would or could be different with that of The Secretary of State of The U.S.A. punt. So long as the U.N has 'thinks and things' to 'clears-up', IT would has had enough powers to calls all member countries on a General-Assembly, or assemblies, for 'disputables' issues, also debate or 'de facto's also anything else which confer to IT existence and extension of its being.
The visit to the holly Pope in the Vatican, I thought it would be on His personal account, would you agree. And that would be differently, as I can understand it.

you are under the impression that the pope is the most powerful person in the religious part of the world. You need to realize that we are no longer in the dark ages and that religion should not rule the world. The catholic church has had a history of killing and maiming people just because they do not believe the same. Most of these people were only trying to live their life their own way without offending others religiously. They do not push their religion on others and tell others they are going to go to hell like most christian religions do. Organized religion was created and has only been used for the control of people for thousands of years. please understand that you have been brainwashed after generation and generation of religious holds on the human race.

No matter how good the intent of the Pope, not all see him as Christ's chosen representative.

All of the people of the world are not Catholic and it would be a meaningless gesture. Others have as much faith in their religion as you have.
