I think it is a beneficial bacteria commonly found in yogurt. You can find it in pill form at your local vitamin shop. This is not a question for a common user. I always said I would never mention this word in an answer on Yahoo, but this questions deserves it.... Wikipedia... I swear I won't do it again!

this is normally present in the human digestive system...( IT IS A GOOD THING AND YOU NEED TO HAVE IT PRESENT) sometimes when you need to take an antibiotic it is "killed off" by the anitbiotic but your body needs it for digestion.
you can take a daily dose of acidophillus. if you purchase it, be sure to get the LIVE type that needs refridgeration. yogurt has a small amount in it but you may need a larger amount to replace what may be missing. go to your local health food store for a brand name supply.

it's a live culture in yogurt. that is a good bacteria for your stomach :)

It's a king of bacteria that grows in low pH or in other words, they thrive in acidic conditions. I dunno what you exactly meant but there's no medical word for it.
