I think you may notice this 'alert' only occurs while you are using the browser. These are fake messages which are really just a simple "popup" advertisement.

The clue that this is not a real alert is that a real alert message box would not have you "click the icon"...

So you can relax - it's just a pushy and stupid sales pitch for whichever security software they are trying to sell - They are trying to take advantage of you by making you panic (so that you will buy without thinking because you are being goaded).

Ironically the last thing anyone is ever likely to want to do - if they really think their system is infected - is to start typing their credit card number on the infected computer. So this lame-brained "panic the customer" selling strategy fails in the attempt to sell anything because it shoots itself in the foot, by scaring off the customer.

You can download and install the Microsoft Antispyware Beta from micrsoft. It will scan your computer and will remove all spywaresand adwares and protect your system from further attacks.Get it from the downloads section in microsoft site.

I use SpyBot and AdAware, I update and configure them, and then I turn into SAFE MODE (WinXP) and I perform a deep scanning and cleansing with spybot and then adaware (in that specific order)... and then restart in normal mode and.... PEACE xD

Good luck!!

You are the victim of spy-ware. This alert is actually spy-ware at work. A virus scanner will not prevent this.
