fifty first dates with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. it was so sweet and funny. it stole my heart since i first saw it. it's one movie i can never get tired of, as it speaks of such an unconditional love for somone so disabled by memory loss.
the manner of presentation was so endearing that everytime i watch it, i always, always cry and laugh at the same time. Adam Sandler movies do that to you, i think-- especially this one. it made me look at life from two totally different perspectives: that of a woman with disability and handicap; and that of a man who was so in love he pursued her against all odds.
i love the song in the end, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/Wonderful World" by IZ. i play it over and over until now, especially when i feel down and i need a kick of hope in me.
if this happens on a regular basis to people with disabilities, the world would be a lovelier place. and if this happens on a regular basis to people without disabilities, the world would be perfect-- a wonderful place!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets; I watched it with my son (after reading the books to him when he was too young to read them to himself) and every time I see it I remember how happy we were that night at the theater. Also, it has a lot of very talented actors in it including the irreplaceable Richard Harris, Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman and the gorgeous villain Jason Isaacs.

So many to choose from..
Probably The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, it keeps pretty close to the book (although the book is so much better), fantastic story with great actors and brilliant special effects.

Sliding Doors. I love the way that although everything in her life goes wrong all at once (well - in one of her lives), she just picks herself up, dusts herself off and gets on with it. Inspirational for anyone who has ever been shat on from a great height. Plus it has John Hannah in it ... who has THE sexiest voice and loveliest on-screen personality ... ahhhh you've got me started now....! Any woman out there who has not seen Sliding Doors - go and see it NOW!!!!!
