It may end in conception or may not, since it is the fifth day which is a border line. But what you have been trying for last 5 months is not clear. Have sex and repeat what he did, during 6th to 22nd days from period, you will conceive.

If you are TRYING to get pregnant then during your period is the least likely time you are likely to become so. You should have intercourse between seven and ten days after your period has finished, and have as much sex as you both feel able to. Your partner should always come inside you, and if possible to stay inside you for a few minutes without moving about too much. If he insists on moving, ensure you stay on your back, hunching your knees up to your chin. Some couples find that "***** style" is better for conception - we did - but try to get on your back as soon as possible afterwards. This will enable the semen to use gravity to go deeper inside you.
The golden rule for getting pregnant though, is sex, sex sex (and more sex). Can it be that bad?

You can get pregnant any time of the month but it is more likely about 10-14 days after your period has finished.

You may get pregnant.
The debate on whether or not a woman can get pregnant during her period has been going on for decades now. Just like every woman is different, so are her hormonal balances and hence her menstrual cycle. Though there are generalities on which some ground basics of menstruation and pregnancy can be formed, but eventually it all boils down to individual physiology. So, yes, you can get pregnant during your periods.
There is a definite chance that any woman can get pregnant during her periods. Though the chances of pregnancy during periods are usually low during periods, they exist for all women. During periods, the chances of pregnancy are comparatively lower at the onset of a woman's period and increase just after her periods. The truth is that there is no predictable time during the month when the risk of pregnancy can be said to be absent.

It's possible but unlikely. However if you have sex regularly throughout the next two weeks (ovulation), there's a pretty good chance that you might.
