I'm almost two weeks late for my period. I've been cramping for the past week and a half like I normally would before I have my period, but it still hasn't come yet. I haven't taken a HPT, but I have no symptoms of pregnancy. I had protected sex a little over a month ago, but I'm no longer on the pill (I used to be, and after almost 2 years of being on it, I had to quit taking it in early June of this year because of possible blood clots). Could my period just be irregular since I've only had 2 periods since going off the pill and I don't know what my "normal" cycle is? Or could I be pregnant? I'm really stressed out about it so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would wait a week or two and take another test if your period has still not shown. When i was pregnant the test was negative for the first month so it is worth waiting or going to the doc for a blood test. Good luck!!

It sounds likely that you could be irregular, but recent information is now saying that getting pregnant as soon as you come of the pill is more common than previously thought.

the best way to reassure yourself and put your mind at ease is too take a pregnancy test... within a few minutes you should have your answer.

I hope it is the one you want.

Probably a response to coming off the pill - but a pregnancy test will tell you for sure. Go get one today.

Not to worry you but cramping and not starting is a sign of pregnancy. That is what happened to me when I was pregnant with my son. I kept thinking I was going to start soon, it was implantation cramps...............

it's probably your body withdrawing from the shots. however just to be safe go ahead and do a HPT.

It happens birth control can screw up your period so I would just wait a bit .
