Is it true that rap music is the leading cause of ear cancer?

Rap isn't music to begin with. If you have ear cancer, it was caused by something other than 'rap'.
'Rap' has caused much distress for true musicians and changed a generation of 'non' musical people to gain recognition along with a peculiar celebrity status. It's more a 'cult' using microphones and 'borrowed' background rhythms and tunes to 'say' or 'speak' their 'rap'.

There was a tune years ago entitled "The Rapper". It referred to the 'rap' used as a 'pick-up' line for the opposite sex however it was NOT 'rap' per say.

I don't know about ear cancer, brain perhaps...Hearing loss from the rattling of the bass cranked so loud cars fall apart. It is a leading cause for continued bad grammer, mispronunciation and a source on nonsensical words.

As to the comment on heavy metal... Depends on which sub-genre, and yes, some is metal pretty bad with lots of screaming in place of singing and noise from guitars instead of music. There are classical based metal acts with true singers, Nightwish is a perfect example as the former singer was trained for opera.

Probably true. I listened to it once. It was just someone muttering about smacking his b.i.t.c.h up. Before multiple organ failure set in, I put some proper music on.
