1 cup of white vinegar in wash water. In may have nothing to do with the way you are washing now. Your body heat may be interacting with the dye the shirt. Also any chemicals in the dye or the mordant used to set the dye. If changing your washing methods does solve the problem then it probably is the dye.

If you try the vinegar thing then find out the quantity and what type of vinegar and if you have to dilute it first.

It will probably always start smelling when you get hot wearing it. Just chuck it out! If you can't bring yourself to do that then stain removers might work.

My kids get this with there football tops. I think it's just the material. Wash it in a biological powder and hang it out on the line to dry. It works for me.

Add calamansi or lemon fruit extract. Squeeze some juice in your wash with detergent. This is also good for whitening white clothes.

Try changing your washing powder/liquid. I've always use non-bio and had the same problem with some clothes. I tried biological and it seemed to sort it.

Take it back to the store where you bought it. Tell them your concerns!

THEN write to the manufacturer. Tell them what is happening with their product!
