The one event I would like to change in the History is the advancement of Humans from apes.
With the advancement we have become more cruel,more selfish and self centred. Instead of helping each other to grow we are always leg pulling our friends. The invention of weapons have given us more killings than an average animal kills for food. We still have not been able to give birth to a healthy society who can build a better nation with satisfaction of living and no death from Starvation and diseases

I would have to say that World War I was the beginning of the end of civilization. The world had never seen such destruction on such a massive scale. The killing tools that were invented in that time were astonishing.
Thousands of historical buildings and churches would not have been destroyed.
WWII would not have occurred had WWI not happened.
The Holocaust wouldn't have happened.
Palestine would not have been given to the Jewish people making the Middle East only an interesting part of the world and not a war zone.
No Middle Eastern terrorism.
The US would not be the empire it is today.
WWI set off a chain of events that resulted in hundreds of millions of lives lost, famine, death, disease, destruction...for what?

If I were given a chance to change any one event in the history I would Like to change - As is it is Iraq going in the reign of Saddam Hussain , Iraq was quite good before these days i.e. no car bombing each day which cost to death of thousands of Innocents every day.

Given an oppurtunity to rewind time , I would want to stop India's decision of returning the parts of Pakistan it had captured during the infamous war and also its decision of declaring Bangladesh an independant country after having it in its hold.
According its always the survival of the fittest, had India not committed that mistake on that unluckly day , today all the problems faced at Kashmir etc would never have existed and there's my reason for you.

I would like to change the Shimla Agreement of 1972 wherein the provision had been made to solve all problems including Kashmir between India and Pakistan by Bi-lateral talks amicably.However as on today it has not been solved.In view of this I would have made Mandatory to Pakistan to declared Kashmir as integral part of India and Pakistan had no right to interfere into it.Also to withdraw UN resolution to that effect.In addition to this Border Solution within the time framework.
This would have been possible to agree to all conditions by Pakistan as India had over 1,00,000 Pakistani prisoner of wars.

i would really have to think about what to change in world history but in American History I would have to change the Kennedy assassination.
I would love to see what the country would have been like if we weren't involved in Vietnam and if Kennedy moved forward in Civil rights. Further would Bobby Kennedy have ended up as president as well? How would the media have changed if it were given the opportunty to react to affairs and such that they never reacted to before. It would be really interesting to see how America would have faired.

There is no event that i would like to change in the history.
But i like to change the present situation, such as giving and getting bribe, allowing for recommendations etc, (which spoil the growth of a country or which externally affects other people).

the event which i would like to change in history is the arrival of Britishers to India , which would have saved my country for being ruled over and it would have saved a lot of lives who have fought and died for freedom
