I have to assume that it can not be just one tee shirt. I have seen it where an entire batch of clothes has this odour.
I read all the answers and I disagree. It's not you. The smell is in your tee shirts. This occasionally happens to washing machines when they are not used correctly. I have had it and smelt it on other people many times. it's a very distinct odour but it's not you.
My recommendations:
Your machine needs a good bleaching.
Run a load of whites (bleach tolerant, like cottons). Set the temp to 60 C. Use At least two capfuls of bleach (50-75 ml) along with the normal amount of soap.
Another tip. never leave clothes in the washer for long periods after washing. They tend to start stinking. Get them out on the line or in the dryer.
Also, get in the habit of leaving the machine door open when not in use. This allows the inside of the machine to dry and will prevent the buildup of mold and bacteria.
I guarantee if you follow these practises, you will be odour free.

There are some good answers already; but just to add:
Sweat is compsed of
water and salt
pheromones
other components (from, for example, the foodstuffs we eat)
in most people, sweat is not smelly and will only start to smell of 'BO' when bacteria starts to attack the sweat. this would not be noticable after only one hour.
look at your diet. some foodstuffs, (usually those with strong aromatic properties such as garlic, onion, chilli, curry, etc) can affect the odour of sweat.
If you are producing excess pheromones, you will know it as you will have to beat the females off with a stick !! :-)

your T Shirt has absorbed the salt from your sweat that it smells puungent whenever it gets wet.
add a tablespoon of vinegar to a bucket of water.
soak your T Shirt in it for an hour.
wash it off with detergent. dry n sun.
its done.

Yes you can. Just throw the shirt in the trash, and shop for clothing that is not 100% polyester from now on.

Change your diet? Certain food like dairy can make you smell. Also check for fungal infections
