The 80's were great. These are the best songs from the top of my head:

Echo & the Bunnymen - The Killing Moon
The Cure - Lovesong
The Smiths - Pretty much everything they did!
Kim Wilde - Kids in America
Kim Carnes - Betty Davies Eyes
The Vapours - Turning Japanese
The Alarm - 68 guns
XTC - Senses Working Overtime

Yes, I also like the 1980's. I was born in 1965 and my favourite group was Altered Images, with Claire Grogan being my number one 1980's pin up! Also liked Deacon Blue later on in the 80's. Hated some on the 1980's fashions though!

I loved the 80's (I was a teen), and I still listen to mostly 80's music. The rock bands were and still are the greatest!

Some of my favorites are:

AC/DC
Def Leppard
Quiet Riot
Scorpions
Warrant
Metallica

My all time favorite hit has to be... Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard... gotta love that beat!

1987 was surely the pinnicale of 20th century popular music. After 1988, "The summer of Love", all our (Brithish) pop stars started to look like, well, smelly tramps from 1974. Look at the state of UK Indie music now, they are stuck in a retro timeloop. 80s' music will always sound fresher as people tried harder with lthe technology they had back then.

I'm In my 40 so Iv got to say the 80's. It was a great time loads of new stuff going on and the music was a mix of everything.punk,Gothic, new wave, garage, techno you name it it's there. Also clothes were changing styles were everything and nothing seem to matter. I was into Gothic and soft rock/punk my fave band was Adam and the ants, and I loved any type of music.
