Well they need another forward and Ronaldo is a top-level striker and a fans attracting football star. I agree with @keech, maybe Ronaldo isn't the outstanding champion he was years ago, but it could be Ancelotti thinks he's worthy. (btw Capello declared 'he's a key player, see the link)
Of course, you can't place such a star on the bench, this could mean jealousy and rivalry will rise, but Milan is facing a tiring season, starting from Champions League preliminaries with players tired since WC and championship at 8- points... Everyone will have enough chances to play...
Fact is the transfer seems fading away. Yesterday Milan managers said 'all is ready with Ronaldo, now it needs only an agreement with Real Madrid', the Clubs were close (Milan is offering 22 millions €, Real wants 25), but Real wants an hiring options for Kaka and obviously Milan don't want to sign this contract...
And this could mean exactly ... Ronaldo will play in San Siro ;-)
Internazionale seems interested in exchanging Adriano and Ronaldo. If I was Real Madrid's manager sure I had to pick this chance!
"INTER ALLA FINESTRA"
'Ronaldo wants to come back in Milan, he's involved with Internazionale and (President) Moratti [...] while Milan managers were flying to Madrid, Moratti was on phone with his managars and Ronaldo himself'

Ronaldo is a fool.
He can't even play a game of football without upsetting someone (usually Rooney).
No matter what he does he seems to get away with it.
Ronaldo needs to quit football now!!!

i love inter milan but please Massimo Morratti needs a brain transplant to all fairness ronaldo WAS a good player but i think now he's passedit , and to be honest he needs to lose some weight.
I wouldnt be suprised if they decide to by him as they have a habit of buyin back old players aka Hernan Crespo but in my mind they should stick with there good strikers:-
Adriano
Cruz
Ibrahimovic
Crespo
Recoba
and choutos who's still an unknown star
im excluding martins as they have just recently sold him

His best days are behind him and Capello probably recognises that.
