Depends on your time and space. Are you home a lot to let the dog out? And play with it? Or are you at work most of the time and need something that can pretty much take care of itself? Like a cat.
For some reason, you strike me as a cat person.
I like cats, but my hubby don't.

I prefer dogs but I have a cat. I can't have a dog where I live. My cat sometimes acts like a dog and sometimes acts like a bunny. I call her my puppybunnykitty. I love her, she is soooooooo cute! Don't you think?

i hate cats but ima pick cat cuz i have this inside joke w. a bud of mine w. a bud of mine thats about cats cats cuz one time we were on the phone and i was going on and on about something on and on about something and she made me reapeat what i said repeat what i said and i yelled at her saying "what the hell are you a fu*cking cat?!" she started crackin up crackin up and its just funny in an idiot way i guess i guess
