If u have enough confidence within urself u won't feel the need to prove to anybody that ur above the insult, but there's only so much insult a person can take before they snap. if u fight back ur almost validating the insult, possibly.

If you are insulted then be a gentleman and prove yourself as the right choice.And make that person feel guilty on the behaviour wht he done with you . And cut your all contacts with that person. But not apply this in family matters.

If they insulted me i probably wouldn't lower myself to their level but i find it really hard to forgive and forget. If on the other hand they insulted my friends or family, thats gonna make me v. mad!

depends on how big they are and where you are.
alone in an ally and the person weighs 300 pounds more than you...you didtn hear anything
for everything else, there is the good ol' drop kick them in the face..

sometimes its best not to do anything at that moment.....? just try and remain calm..I know sometimes its hard .,,,think about what happen and then when your friend is in a good mood try and talk about it and ask him in a nice way....why he insulted you ........I am sure you will find out .....and if he doesn't want to talk about it. ...then your friend is not ready ......just try and keep calm....give him time..... one day he will come up and start talking to you again..........good luck.....
