Sez Who? It truly depends on the person. It should be said, though, that when you reach a certain age you have herd EVERY FRICKIN' joke at least once in a lifetime. Also certain oldsters are hesitant about triggering a heart attack by laughing excessively but wouldn't that be the best way to croak? Laughing unto the grave? On a serious note, frail people, not necessarily old, are afraid to laugh because they might spurt from either end - - - remember to put on your underwear with yellow stain in front, brown stain in the back. Usually old men do not have teeth. Their teeth all dropped. They do not want people to know about no teeth. Heee... Heee... OR .... Old men do not laugh much because they wear false teeth. Their false teeth might fall out if they laugh too much. I had seen it. Very funny....

Takes too many facial muscles to laugh.
Takes extra lung capacity to laugh.
Most have troubles breathing let alone laugh!

We laugh to rid our bodies of excess carbondioxide........with that in mind I'm assuming that maybe it has something to do with lung capacity and how much carbondioxide they hold.(assumption)

not true! it depends on what is there to laugh about, definitely not because of age. the degree of laughter may be lesser.

i dun know it true or not ...it they dun laugh much maybe they scare to leave this world or all his friends have all gone.
