Only about 30 percent of women actually have their fertile period between days 10 and 17 of their menstrual cycle. This is a very small proportion and that tells us from the onset that it is not wise to fully rely on safe days. The rate of unpredictability is very high and this is affected by so many other environmental and social pressures. Thus, there are few days of the menstrual cycle in which some women are able to avoid pregnancy.
All factors kept constant, I would like to suggest that the use of safe days be accompanied by another contraceptive method than just faith in the menstrual cycle.

no day is safe without contraceptive if it is with the opposite sex. If you want to be safe, masterbate.

There is no 100% safe day, but the safest days are about the first 5 days after the period and a couple of days before. It's best not to risk it though.

as a matter of fact, no day can be considered safe.
however, if the cycle is quite regular than, just count that about 14 days before the onset of menses, the ovalution takes place. and 3 days prior and after that day r most fertile considering the life of sperm and ova.
