I consider myself lucky to have witnessed that great innings of Nathan Astle of New Zealand who butchered the England pace attack with his relentless stroke play. Andrew Caddick specially came under a lot of stick as Astle hit him for many boundaries including 3 long and high sixes in one over.He completed his double hundred in 153 balls thus beating the previous recored of Adam Gilchrist of Australia who had scored a double hundred of 208 balls against South Africa the same year i.e. 2000
