The Kawasaki KLR650. Good value for the money. Easy to maintain. You just need a to be relatively tall because of the seat height (35 in.).

It depends what you have in mind like what will the roads be like and where you want to do it.best is you shop around plan your route see if there will be assistance foe the type of bike you decide on .I can say that BMW make some good endure bikes for on and of road but so does some other bike manufacturers like Honda.Kawasaki etc. The main thing is to buy what suite your pocket and to buy a brand that you will be able to find spares for if you need any

Depending on your roads, either a dual purpose BMW or a Honda Goldwing. HD will need extensive work halfway through your trip, if not before.

HD's, or any two lunger, will vibrate you to death on a long haul.

its all down to personal preference-but i'd go for a pan european or a big goldwing (1600 up).
