Well I take no offense. However I do think that this issue is a bit wider than you are making it out to be. Everyone (male and female) gets jealous especially if they are deeply in love with someone. My wife is quite jealous if I talk to other women and she does well to control her emotions on that as she trusts me. I have to admit I too get jealous.
I don't think essentially that there is anything wrong with jealousy and maybe your boyfriend is worried you may leave him - he may feel very insecure as you previously had a relationship with your ex and you may still have feelings for him.
I still keep in touch with some of my exs but would never let my wife know that so that she does not get stressed by it - it is only by e-mail and I like to see how they are getting on (all of them are happily married as I am and I wouldn't change that). The thing is why parade it in front of your boyfriend and why are you in touch with your ex?
You need to sit down and explain it to your boyfriend and re-assure him that you love him and that there is nothing there except a friendship. Have you done that?
Anyway I am not convinced that this issue is purely a man thing but it is a human nature thing!!

And how would you feel if he was talking to a fine ex of his even if she was happily married with kids? Could be that he's responding like that because you might get the idea he doesn't care if he didn't? Some women I've dated have done stuff just to get a reaction out of me - I'm generally the trusting sort and have found that not responding with jealousy has made them mad too. Good job we're not all the same huh?

I have never had any jealousy issues. I was with this girl for 2 years and ALWAYS trusted her and gave her the benefit of the doubt. In the end the truth came out that she cheated on my with an ex or 2. Sure, I was naive, but that is still no reason to be jealous and possessive - even though you were hurt. Usually it is an insecurity issue.

That was a pretty dumb question. Then do you also subscribe to the belief that all blond people are stupid? I guess I should think that all women make horrible mothers and don't want their children because I am a single parent and my ex-wife wants nothing to do with our daughter. Sorry your boyfriend is an insecure *** but don't judge us all in one group. Thanks.

Funny how it is. Most men were trustful and naive at one time, until some bimbo that "loved" him did some dude at a party on a bathroom floor.
Every guy's been there at least once. Women taught us not to trust women.

Hey, i love the subtle way you asked that question! :)
There are as many "naturally dumb and jealous" women out as men. Fades with age and experience in general.

PMT...on his side somehow!
Havent you had the contract from your boyfriend yet!?
The one that states u belong to him, not allowed to talk let alone look at another man, especially if they are wearing shorts as it shows flesh....
But, however...he is allowed to do all the things that he says you cant do and more!!
Who is the dumb one really, him for coming up with such crap or you for doing it!!
