Prostitution is paying someone to care about you. While not debating the ethics, it's very similar to going to a hairdresser or a new bartender. Someone who pretends to care in return for money. With Pornography, there's no interaction. It's visual images of naked people. The model is interacting with the camera. My opinion is that Porn is more damaging, because it limits human interaction. Sitting in front of a computer all day watching porn with no human contact just isn't mentally healthy. There's very little chance of catching a disease from a computer but with a prostitute, there's another person in the room.

No, it's MUCH MUCH cheaper than prostitution for the customer.
