there are so many homeless hamsters so i dont know why u r breeding them in the first place. but regardless as soon as they mate he should be taken out. syrians are housed 1 per cage or they fight often to the death. in the wild they would meet to mate then immediately go separate ways. i hope u have home for all the babies or many cages.

I'm pretty sure you are suppose to seperate them right away, but you might watch to see if she becomes aggressive towards him. Make sure he's out before they are born because she will probably kill him then. And DO NOT touch the baby's for a long time after they are born.

It is unnecessary for you to separate them. If your hamster really is pregnant, then the male hamster will skip town.

Seperate them now! If she is due soon and he is still in with her she will start to nip him and you. Then when she has the babies if he is still in there she might kill them. Good luck.

I know that once the mother has babies he will kill them. So you better do what everyone else says and split them up until she has the babies and weans them, then they will be ok.
