Yes Barry probably will break Aaron's record. It'll take him a season or two more but he'll do it.
Look for someone like Arod to beat Bonds eventually. Arod is only 31 and he has 429 HRs. If and its a big IF he played till he was in his early 40's, he could pass them all.
I'll always think of Babe as the master of the HR. When he was hitting 60 HR, we was hitting more then some teams.
I think that the Babe was the fastest to 700 HR's too.

Bobby Bonds is dead.
Barry Bonds won't break Aaron's record. He's done after this year.

Bonds will not be retained by San Francisco next year, and I think no club will be willing to spend a big chunk of change for a man who cannot field his position anymore, cannot run thanks to age and bad knees and has lost a whole lot of ability the past two years. He will be blackballed like Palmeiro and Sosa in the future. In other words, NO WAY!

If he plays next year, which I hope he doesn't, he probably will. Now, if he does play next year, which will more than likely be with and AL team & be the DH, u can't deny he's selfish and the only reason he plays is for that record. & don't say it's 4 the love of the game 'cuz u know he's all hurtin', guy can't run anymore.

If Bobby Bonds breaks the record, it'll prove he's on something unlike anything else, since he died three years ago.

Yeah, Barry will break the record, butt....when it is proven Bonds used steroids, all of his accomplishments or at least most of them, will be wiped off the record books!

I hope to God that Barry Bonds is stopped before he defiles Hank Aaron's record. He's done enough damage to a sport that doesn't need any more issues.

He should break it next season. And to all you whiners out there, even if he did take anything, they were not banned when he supposedly took them. Instead of bitching about players, you should be going after Bud.
No asterisk needed by the record.
