It was a toy with a bunch of balls that could connect with eachother. They were clear and each one had different gears and purposes. They could be put together to make different things such as robots or vehicles. I want to buy my nephew some but i need to know the name.

they were connex's -- but i dont think they make them anymore.
but you know legos have the same now -- electronic moving gears and robots -- i don't know how much they are but it might be something too look at if you dont find what you are looking for.
