First of all this is a really great question to ask. The impact that brought me to this stage of my life is first God, second my ex-boyfriend who i miss to this day. third my daughters. without any of these things in my life i would not be where i am a strong single mother of two girls. Strugle everyday, but don't ever give up. Im coming up on the rough side of the mountian, but soon will be on the side with glory. So with out drama, pain, strugle, and happiness i would not be here today, or end up where i am going.

Going to Ozark Holiness Youth Camp has changed my life. Not only by helping my social skills, but I still have affects from the church services that were held there. God really changed my life during the time I spent at camp.

About a year ago in Jan. me and a couple friends were going to go down to St. Louis, MO for a concert and dinner on Saturday night. I found out that i had to work that night and i told them i couldnt go. I called them as soon as i got off work. Some how i had a feeling. On Sunday I called one of their houses, her mother answered the phone. I could tell she has been crying but didnt want to say anything. I asked if Mary was home. She started crying again, and passed the phone to her husband. He told me that a drunk driver hit them, and killed everyone in the car. I was scared, shocked, and nervous. I couldnt go anywhere for weeks. i got kicked out of school, but i still got my ged. to this very day my friends parents cant look at me. But brightside if i didnt have to work i would of been in that car too.

The death of my son and finding out that my husband was having an affair. Until that point I was content staying at home and taking care of things. Now I am a very independent person who isn't afraid to stand up for herself.

Once me and an ex-boyfriend had no place to stay. And a lady he worked with and her husband paid for us to stay in a hotel roo for a week. She said that they didn't want the money back just to help someone else when we could. The eerie thing about that is it was later they came out with that movie called "Pay it Forward" and it always reminds me of them and their kindness.

I got involved with a 12 step group, they made me look at my life in a whole different way, My initial reason for going to alanon was so they could tell me how to fix my drunk boyfriend, Instead they showed me how to fix myself because that is the only one who can change. Hope this helps

Getting sober and staying sober made me turn my entire life around. I did heroin for 5 years and never thought i would ever stop. Having the strength to stop was the best thing that i could have ever done.

I would say my guy friend that I grew up with. He helped me and my other friend ( a guy) get together. We were always in fear of damaging our friendship so just left it alone. My friend gave us the push and well now we are married and have two kids. My friend helped us both and we will never forget it. I really miss him he died 4 years ago.
