Is it because of pressure???...tom science

It is because your heart is pumping blood throughout your body continuously. For example if you fed someone poison and then cut their body after they died, they would not bleed because their heart is no longer pumping blood. The blood would still be there but with no pump to move it, it would stay inside the veins.

pressure is part of it. blood also flows from wounds to clean them, and, eventually, cover them, stopping the bleeding, and keeping out further contaminants, by clotting, or scabbing.
