Huh? If the gift costs $100, then you will give a discount at the end, it would be $80... The actual prize is still $100... Because you didn't give the discount before he paid $100... Correct me if I'm wrong...

your question is flawed. If you are buying, you cannot give a discount.
the seller can give a discount.
