Ecstacy has a component to induce repeatitive behavour hence the style of music associated with the dance culture.
Also it empathogenic (ie makes you realate to others and think their your best make and want to hug... this makes you happy and relaxed).
Hence it was also experiemendted on as a truth drug
But you don't need drugs to dance like that...
As with all music you moved within the energy field of the music, its shape, its form, its feeling ...
So Spanich music is sudden, full of raw passionate aggressive sexaulitysudden stopping movements...
Rock music is full of feeling and intensity so you just weant to let loose in the swirl of energy mence moshing..
Fast rape music expecailly when mixed with hard dance or rock to boost it up is very looped with ommoff and aggressing which translates to the complex fluid acrobatic with a non regular beat (the opposite of the dance music in the video) resulting in a variety of creative complex energised moves... With a competalive feel.
Whilst that dance musi is very up and down, simple, resgular and repative ie

or wave arm wave arm wave arm and keep doing the same thing..
You dont listen to music you feel it, the shape and feel, feeling and what the producer or singler or guitarist was feeling compbined with the atmosphere arounf you and what you absorb from others...
Hence lights, smoke and you really need others on the dance floor or a cheery aduience to feed off.
Weather stone cold sober or dopped up.
Dance 101 is dance with eyes closed
