Not me. I own a black cat and I paint walls at work. Ladders and cats everywhere for me.

I consider myself lucky, I discovered Yahoo! Answers. A lot of fun!

Not so far (knock on wood...lol)

I had a black cat once but it died. I also had a white cat, and it was run over by a car, and I had a black and white cat and it disappeared one day. Now I have an orange-ish cat.

I stood under a ladder and as a support system for the person on the wobbly ladder that was cleaning our gutters. Nothing bad happened.

I have as many good days on the 13th as I have on the 12th or 14th of any month of any year.

I don't think I've broken any mirrors....although my husband would probably say something sarcastic about that.

I think everything seems random, not sure about it, but no bad luck for me for those reasons.

I have broken a couple of mirrors in my life, and yes I have had bad luck, but my luck or unlucky stems from mother and grandmother that was very superstitious, the black cat my brother in law believes in if a black cat passes in front of you turn around and go the other way, from personal experience, a black cat ran across the road and when he turned the corner he was involved in a horrific accident, fortunately he survived, I dunno so much about walking under ladders but I never have, and the number 13, if it falls on a Friday, it is bad but only as bad as what I make it, or believe it is going to be.

Broken mirrors - just for safety. You don't want people, especially kids, breaking mirrors. They could get seriously cut. So scare them with bad luck.

Black cats - they were once believed to be the servants of witches. One crossing your path could mean that a witch had you in mind for some of her evil.

Walking under a ladder - again, just for safety (like Counsellor pointed out). Tools, people, or the ladder itself can fall on you.

13 - I suppose atleast one number had to get stuck with being the unlucky one. I have heard that there is 13 full moons in a year though.

Isn't folklore fun :)

Not me; I'm not superstitious. Broken mirrors are an inconvenience, not bad luck. I don't worry about black cats, I think they are beautiful. Walking under a ladder and the 13th floor are no cause for consternation either.

I stepped on a mirror the other day, I live with a black cat that crosses my path daily and I'm fine. Walking under a ladder is just a bit too dangerous for my tastes.....

Just the few superstitious people. In my country we no longer consider 13 unlucky and many people own black cats and not walking under a ladder is just for the sake of safety!

i broke my mirror, i told my servant to remove the broken pieces. she got a cut on her hand while cleaning, so, i had to the house work for 2 days. my friend saw a black cat crossing while she was cycling. as she was still learning cycling she hit the poor cat & the cat got hurt. i was walking under the ladder once. my mothe told me not to walk under it. i thought she was being silly. so. i walked under it . just then the man who on the ladder was painting the house threw the excess water down. i was drenched with coloured water. don't u think all these supersticious beliefs are stupid.?

hi, if a poultry poos on then you definately it particularly is meant to be a demonstration of sturdy luck, in case you drop a knife then a guy comprises your door, in case you placed pink and white plant existence together you will pay attention of a death quickly, if little ones and animals take a dislike to somebody then he's no longer to be relied on, if cows lie down it is going to rain, if there are countless midgets out at night it will be a heat day day after in the present day. if a black cat crosses your direction you have luck, yet whilst a black cat follows you there will be a death, in case you save your childs toddler tooth and whilst they are older and have toothache you throw between the tooth in a circulation or river and it particularly is meant to treatment the toothache....those are in elementary terms some superstitions desire they help

Well those who work in the factories that manufacture mirrors must be doomed for several eternities then, 'cos when they sling the imperfect mirrors into a skip, they break every time...!

Supersition is simply a way of making something out of nothing.
