watch a movie about a girl spiral downward into meth addiction, a tragic film revealing the true nature of this new drug epidemic

Or a movie about her recovery process, which would be more of a dramedy (drama and comedy) showing the hardships of recovery, and rehab, but also shed some light on the humorous aspects of it as well. So, it would be a dark comedy in a way.

To be honest I would rather see neither... unless a slasher element was thrown into it for fun. Maybe a variation to the tune of Jason Takes the AA Meeting.

Why not both, u cant have 1 w/o the other, just as long as u spend most of the time showing the recovery. who says u cant have a depressing drama/dark comedy w a good message-
look at American Beauty

Although I don't see the humor, I would say the second one. I've seen enough people spiral downward in a drug addiction in real life and it would be nice to see someone recover.

I think it would be really depressing to watch the first one, but on the other hand, it might be a useful tool for people who are hooked on this terrible drug that does nothing but destroy lives. It might help them to kick the habit.

I would pick the first one.
It may be depressing but you can see the message of the film very clearly.

Regarding the second one, I find it a bit typical and bland.

Probably the first one, because you could show her as an average person with a lot of potential, instead becomes very tragic, and no one can stop it.

Can we write it whereas she recovers from the drug addition but is broke and has to turn to prostitution?

Change girl to guy, meth to heroine and just watch Trainspotting.
