vick's now makes a 'baby rub', for babes 6mos and up, but i prefer tiaminic's vapor patches, they are intended for older children and you apply 'em to their chests, like the rub, but there's no mess to clean up, just peel and stick like a sticker, remove in the morning or before heading outside... BUT, on a small toddler/baby, i put them in an undershirt, apply the patch to the chest area -ON THE SHIRT, NOT THE SKIN- and then a sleeper or pjs over that. it works like a charm, but use an old undershirt, the stickiness doesnt always wash out.

No, you can't use Vicks Vapor Rub on Children under 2 years of age. There is a special Vicks for them though, Vicks Baby Balsam. Its suitable for babies from 3 months up to 5 years. That's what i use when my babies have colds.

Use Vicks vapor rub in a humidifier in the room... that's what I did and my Doctor recommended.. Infants are too young for the strong smell on their skin.

I wouldn't. That tingly/burning feeling would probably really upset them. If your baby is stuffy, they make the mentholated baby bath just for them. It works wonders. Also, get a humidifier, and Vicks makes a liquid that releases that "vapor rub" smell into the air, it's what I used for my son.

There is a vick's vaporrub (called BabyRub) for infants. Go with that one and you'll be fine. It's for infants 3 mths & up.

Just keep an eye on her throughout the rest of the day. She should be fine, since you caught it in plenty of time. Most parents that use Vicks use it through the night so if it was only on her for a few minutes then no harm done.

You can go to Wal-Mart and buy some for a baby! It shouldn't be to much. I wouldn't put the Vick's vapor on her/him. If you did they should be okay. But I would buy the one that really goes on her/him.

I believe if you check the infent dept. of your local store they make a vicks for children. Or my son has one of the vaporplugs. It seems to help a lot. It's kinda like a nite ligh only you put this vapo pad in it and it has the same effect. made by Pedia Care I think.

LB- Who are you?!?!? They were asking a simple question because they are obviously concerned for their baby's well being. And from all the other responses before your ignorant one, people do it all the time, and they make Vicks for babies as well now.
