This film was actually hard for me to even watch. The prosthetic makeup for the Elephant Man was so real. God, it was grotesque. I didn't cry, no, but I didn't feel like eating for a short while after the movie was over. But then I ate again and everything was alright. God bless you, John Merrick. "I'm not an amninal! UUUGGGGHHH!"

No, I didn't cry, but the film did move me.

It was sad, because the main character was a good man who suffered from a horrible disease. But you can also say the movie tells the story of how a good man used his inner strength to cope with things we cannot imagine.

I was sad, but i didn't cry.I like the movie but the only qualm i have with it is when John speaks because it seems hes always slurping his spit to keep from drooling and it sounds gross. I get passed it after about 5 minutes but other than that, the movie rules.

I prolly would. I've seen that guy. Reminds me of The Fly.

Ironically, guess who was involved in "The Elephant Man"'s production? Mel Brooks.

No, I was heart broken to find out that nobody was going to shoot an elephant. If somebody is going to put a title like that, then there should be poachers. Nothing was ever metioned about hunting Elephants.
