i am currently studying in a very competitive college..everyone is the best in what they do..sometimes you cant help but to overestimate yourself, being around these kind of people..but there will be some times when you're alone, you feel kinda low,and keep doubting your own capabilities.. are you good enough to be like them? these are the times when i will be underestimating myself..

I overestimate myself for a time...
I underestimate myself for a time...
I swing back and forth,
Trying to estimate in balance;
But instead I tick,
And I tock,
Like a pendulum on a clock,
And as time goes on,
Results are in the working...

OH MY GOD, You just described me!!!!!!! I have never learned how to not say what I'm thinking automatically. I just assume I know everything and blurt it out. I am definitely over confident. Then when I'm wrong I feel like I am dirt on the bottom of someones shoe! Why can't I just keep my mouth shut and not care!

I try not to estimate myself!

You are on the right track.

When we begin to understand that we are not good or bad, happy or sad, helpful or useless we open ourselves to just being.

Just being opens the door to enlightenment.
