I don't see why it would be illegal. If there are cameras on rollercoaster, it can help keep people safe because some people do stupid things on ride like stand up or throw stuff during the ride. It allows the people running the ride to monitor what is going off if there is ever an emergency like the ride being stuck somewhere up on top.

I have a great picture that I took in the front seat of the Beast at Kings Island as we were cresting the first hill. Picture looks right down the first hill and into the tunnel. You can see a little of the car in the bottom part of the picture. One of the favorite pics I took and I took it 20 years ago.
Back about 25 years ago, we went to a park in Georgia (Six Flags?). It was opening day for a coaster that I believe was called the Mind Bender. Members of the media were there that day filming the ride. My dad had a super 8 movie camera with him. The entire day, the ride ops let my dad up to the front of the ride (often times cutting in front of other people) because they thought we were with the media. He filmed the ride much of the day from the front seat. They continued to let us in the front seat after he had already filmed the entire ride a couple of times. Late in the day, they were still offering us the front seat but we passed at one point.

If you go to Cedar Point & try to take a camera on the rollercoaster, they make you get off & put it in the holding box, until the ride ends. I have taken one on at Busch Gardens, Universal Studios & Disney without a problem.

There is not an actual law regarding this; you can't legislate everything. But most if not all amusement parks have rules against taking pictures while on any ride because often people will lose them or worse, the object can get out of your grasp and hit you or someone else in the head or body, causing harm.
Just not a good idea either way.

I do not think it is illegal but most parks do not allow it. There are a number of reasons but it is also dangerous. Can you imagine getting hit in the head with one of those cameras? Thats why they ask you to secure loose articles.

no longer likely. The digital camera area or digital camera area would first would desire to take a seat down or relax thoroughly on the song - and maximum curler coaster tracks are tubular and not flat, the area would fall off properly previously the advent of the prepare automobile. to make certain that the digital camera to disturb the prepare on the song it would have be suited there or hit the song on the comparable place and occasion through fact the wheels to get caught up interior the wheels, yet you will would desire to somewhat objective the digital camera on the song and time it precisely to fulfill the wheels without the digital camera boucing off the song chop up seconds previously the advent of the autos In different words, that's a a million in a million shot no longer easily duplicated in authentic existence. Dropped cameras tend to bounce off the song or fall interior the alternative direction of a shifting prepare on a curler coaster song. there is extra difficulty on digital camera flashes irritating the easy-comfortable brake triggers and timers on the indoor curler coasters at Disneyland. lots of the coasters are on a timing sequence led to with the help of easy-comfortable action detectors that element the trip of each and every prepare or coaster on the song to particular sequences alongside the journey. lots of the sound tracks and lively characters are activated with the help of the action detectors at particular checkpoints, and digital camera flashes on those journey disturb the easy-comfortable action detectors and interrupt the timing sequence of the time the automobile is on the song, would set off the automated braking gadget, and disturb the animation and soundtrack sequence, that's why they request no flash cameras during the journey (no longer through fact they do no longer choose you to take photos for secrecy reasons!)

depends. if the roller coaster goes real fast and there are a lot of twists and turns and loops then maybe. but the milder ones are OK for cameras. ask the roller coaster operator if he says its not illegal, then good. if he says it is then sneak one on anyway

Depends on the park and the ride. Some yes, some no. More and more say no now because of insurance issues.

no why would u think it's illegal. it's a public place, it's not like someone installed it without you knowing and they are taping you. usually people expect to have cameras, so it's not illegal if you know about them. it's illegal to install it in bathrooms.
