I think he's honestly loyal to the people who own him --he's competent at being a puppet.

As an actual veteran of the war he ducked as a young man, I can't stand that preppy drugstore cowboy. he's run up the credit card and can't face reality and partition Iraq, preferring to stack up more dead American soldiers between now and January of 2009, when he is finally excreted from America's political anus.

His disapproval rating is at 51% this week but it was 59% a month ago. Only slightly better than Bill Clinton at the halfway point of his second term.

I don't know what that means, but if popularity is a measure, he is average.
