You have already answered the question. Life is like that and we Indians are like that. Firstly, we start our married life not for pleasure; its our 'karma' philosophy that makes us propagate our race through marriage. That makes our children very important. And of course, could anyone ever think of dumping the little angels for none of their faults. Let's be more responsible. Secondly, we are required to be faithful and stay together after that sacred bond of marriage. If all of us do so, the life will be very beautiful That was the positive aspect.
On the other hand, we are, as of now, gradually becoming a nation of crude materialistic people devoid of any values and thats why even if they have very strong reasons , people find it very difficult to legally get separated. The process & the people involved in it makes them look farcical and wretched.
And in the light of the above situations, you ask yourself - Is staying together not worth it? IT INDEED IS. So it is better to work out a solution. ESCAPISIM IS NOT THE IN THING IN INDIA.

Dear friend,
Just because u don't like ur spouse that dosen't mean that u shouldn't stay with him/her, now no longer u can take such a decision once u have kids, because ur going to spoil there future and present as the kids need love from both the parents equally.U have to sacrifice for the sake of the kids as u would never want to have them a miserable childhood where they can hardly can see their parents together with them.

It is not that you are spoling your life for children. It is your responsibilty. If spouse is by nature ok and care for the family except some habbits which is untolerable but still if takes care of the family and children , they can live together.
Children are our responsibility . They are in this world because of us only. If someone feels in this manner then they should not even think of delivering baby.

Children are a responsibility no matter what you choose to do. If you make their life a living hell by staying together you are wrong. If you can stay in the marriage and be mature even if you feel you are not in love it may be better for them. Children need both parents to bring them up....but they do not need to live in hell.

I have been with my daughter's father going on 12 yrs. I am not in a happy relationship. I only stay with him for her sake. I feel though as my love life is on hold til my kids are out of the house.

Think before getting married. Go for "Preventive action" instead of going for "Correction" or "Corrective action". YOu do not love your spouse but what about the children? DO you love them or not. If you do not, better do not get married again since you would not find love in any of the future companions.
