Funny enough, a few years back when the movie came out a group of philosophers, scientists, etc. came together and made an extensive study on how it is impossible that we are on the Matrix. Sure, you can argue the Matrix made all that study up, but deep inside I know you know it is bull to believe you're in the matrix; so I just wanted to let you know about the study for laughs and giggles.

I won't tell you the answer to that. That is for you to discover. But what you really have to ask yourself is, do you really want to know? If you are indeed living in an artificial reality then maybe ignorance IS bliss. To find out the truth may lead to a life of immense struggle, suffering and misery. But you may also find out for the first time what true freedom really is.

Consider this, though. Even if you are in the real world, many of us live in artificial realities created within our minds. Matrices of our own creation. This happens whenever we hold a belief that is based not on reason and evidence, but on what we would prefer to be true. Most politics and nearly all religious beliefs are such wishful thinking, fantasies which do not conform to reality. They are visions not of how the world actually is, but of how we'd like it to be. In that case, ignorance is not bliss, but a danger to all.

Libertarian said it really well actually.........

Normality is the illusion of life and normal to us is what we believe to be reality. I lived in the world of illusion wanting and hoping but when I stepped out of that world and saw what was real it showed me a lot about and what was real, what was an illusion.
The reality in my life was that life can be a *itch and our dreams and hopes can be within reach, we can fight for them, we can make sacrifices for them but it doesn't mean our hopes or dreams (the illusion) become a reality

When we see what is really behind closed doors, what we are all good at hiding in the public eye, to our friends to our neighbours we discover what is really holding them together, or making them crumble because of each other-
the illusion what we want to become a reality really aint what its made out to be

Well you realise there is only one way to find out. Throw some leather on and jump out your nearest sky scraper window. If you live you are the one.

Yes and no. We all live, isolated and confined within the sphere of our own perceptions. I am real within my own life, but your perception of me is only your reality of me, but not me. The purpose of such disciplines as meditation is to clear the sphere of perception such that we can see reality as it is.
