One of the simplest and oldest methods of relief-printing. The design is gouged into the smooth surface of a block of wood, and sticky ink rolled over the top. The cut-away areas print as white patches, the rest as solid black. It therefore lends itself to crude, forceful designs with simple shapes and sharp contrasts.

Early examples of artists using lithography may be found in the work of Delacroix and Gericault. Book and magazine illustration, in the nineteenth century, was mainly remained areas that continued to be dominated by wood engraving. There are some examples of lithography being used to produce sumptuous colour illustrations.

I would say woodcut too. Isn't that how the old printing presses were made? This is probably a trick question and it's none of the above!
