My gf and I broke up 3 weeks ago exactly. We've both been trying to be best friends again, and it's been hard on me because I still love her. All of a sudden, she broke down after spending the day with me and told me she felt bad about our break up. She never seem to be sad about us breaking up. I manage to talk to her a day later and all of a sudden she broke down again. She said she felt bad about the break up. I didn't want to ask any questions about how she felt about me because I just didn't. I had promise her before I tried to be her best friend and not try to ask her about our relationship because it would annoy her. We were together for 1 year and 9 months, and before that we were good friends for about 4 years. What should I do? Does she still care? Does she still love me?

First of all I'm sorry about your break up. Try to move on, it's going to be hard to be just friends after a serious relationship. Distance away from each other might be a good thing. Don't let this stop you from moving forward. If this really bugs you get some counseling

She obviously still has some feelings for you, the way you can tell this is when you guys talk about your break up, she feels bad or maybe even regrets it. Maybe now she finally realized what she lost, maybe this is her way of hinting to you how much she cares. In my opinion you need to speak up, if you seriously do love her you need to try and fight for her. You can't just let 1 year and 9 months just fade away. You have to let her know how you feel, hiding your feelings will only make you wonder "what if". I hope this helps you with your problem. Good luck it will be worth it.

Well..u've known her for around 6 years..then you should kno tht she's not a player. Wht's so ahrd to believe tht she still loves you? Ask her to forgive you..assumin u did somethign wrong or u said something harsh

She's confused and maybe she still has remaining feelings for you, but i don't think she loves you. Move on before this damages your friendship.
