Tom Cruise is an actor and the problem with actors, and actresses, is you never know when they are not acting.
Cruise has gotten a lot of free press these last few weeks and in the business of entertainment, that translates into box office.
Don't be fooled, the life, times and career of one, Tom Cruise, is far from over, unless he decides to call it quits.

What "really happened" was that Cruise/Wagner Productions was asking for $10 million+ per year (over and above Cruise's acting fees and profit participation) just to keep the company at Paramount.
Having already *lost* money on "Mission: Impossible III" as a result of Tom's sinking popularity, Paramount wisely let their deal with Cruise/Wagner end.
Cruise is one of the last stars who got a cut of every ticket sale ... he priced himself out of the market, especially now that he can no longer deliver hits.
It's interesting to note that, obviously, no other studio was interested in the Cruice/Wagner deal. They have set up an independent company, and will not be financed by Fox, Disney, Sony or any of the other majors.

Because Paramount was tired of the bad publicity Cruise was creating and was worried that his behavior will end up costing them money in the long run.
Money talks...it's all about the Benjamins...you get the picture.

disney just wants to knock some sense into Tom's head..
that's because he was part and a representative of the company...
if he acts wild, this will reflect on the company as well !

you know he is entitled too his oppinions and thats exactly what they are.
we just take soo much more stock in his oppinions because of his celebrity status and if any one wants too believe in what he is saying then thats up too them, but i admire his courage too fly in the face of conventional thinking and i dare any guy to show his emotions for his girl in the same manner, a lot of guys say they'll shout the names of thier loves but few seldom do.
it's like the dixie chicks who voiced thier oppinions about our president and were nearly written off by the public at large.
these people are very talented and bring us good stories and music to take us away from the tedium that is life despite thier oppinions, we would be worse off with out them -- in my oppinion!!.

Paramount let him go...I'm assuming because he's gone a little wacky and has lost the respect of sponsors and movie-goers.
