I had a co worker insult me it really wasn't a bad word (snake, instigator etc.) , it was no big deal to get upset over and totally disrespect me. Not to mention it was in front of all the rest of my co workers. She has been at this job for like 10 years, everyone in the co. knows she is the biggest pot stirrer, so I merely have about a year or so, she isn't professional at all, anyhow I approached this matter to my supervisor and the woman never even got a right up, the superviser said she was sorry my feelings were hurt... should i take this further?

Colleagues get insulted every day, and don't make a big deal.
Someone parks in the parking space closer to the building, which you have parked in for weeks.
A woman wears a very revealing, inappropriate outfit to work - she's actually dishing everyone at work by disrespecting professional business attire.
If you look closely, you'll find plenty of moments when you could have gotten your feelings hurt or someone else did. How or Why it happened is irrelevant.
Working in close quarters requires a certain amount of "distancing" yourself - in this case, intentionally- in order to be productive and positive at work.
Start a journal - never leave it at work - and just keep your own personal views to yourself. When it's time for your performance evaluation, discuss the hostile work environment this employee is providing. Maybe ask for a raise - that would send the message that your performance was more appreciated - her's wasn't.
Good luck and be professional.

Yes, 100% take this further. There is no reason you should have to goto to work and hear insults because someone with tenure is immature. If your supervisor won't help you, go over her and keep going until you are satsified, this is your career, even if it is just a part-time job after school, it is still your career for the time and you shoudl feel comfortable going to work every day. I am a manager at my place and I for one would never allow this to happen and neither would any of the good managers I have ever had.

I don't think you need to take it further. Just make sure you document what happened and any other incidences in the future. And if another situation arises then you can take it to the next level and this time you'll have back up with your documentation. I the mean time, as difficult as it may be, I would ignore her. You already know how she is so just try to do your work. Don't make her your problem because you don't need to stress yourself out that way.

If this is the first accurance I'll say ignore it. But if it happens again then you should take to your supervisor and tell them that its beyond feels, its violating the code of conduct between co-workers.

You should take it straight to the horses mouth.
Tell that heffa, how you feel and that she was wrong for that in your opinion. And you'd appreciate it if she kept you out of her mouth unless something good was coming out of it.
