I am using the Oil-Free Acne Wash from Neutrogena and I don't have pimples, but I have some acne and some marks left over from acne. I was wondering if Oil-Free Acne Wash will get rid of that. Also, it is peeling my face. It says it has acid in it so I was thinking that it peel's your current layer of skin to give you new layers of skin so that the marks are faded more. Is that what its suppost to do? And I have Clearisil Ultra Vanishing Cream and I was wondering if I could use that with the Acne Wash and if that would make them go away quicker? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if you want to reduce the apperance of scars, or get rid of them here are somethings to try:

1. cleanse ur face with lemon juice once every other day

2. do the same thing but with a tomato instead (the acids in both of these fade marks)

3. make a mask of equal parts water and baking soda to reduce redness

4. a peel mask that has either glycolic acid or alpha-beta/hydroxy (try st. ives)

5. microdermbrasion (though costly)

6. rosemary water (get at healthfood stores)

7. mederma

8. take vitamin e pills, or rub vitamin e oil (no it wont breakout skin) over scars

these all worked for me or a friend

First of all, if your skin is pealing, that means that its getting really dry from the acne wash. so to help, buy this system from nuetrogena advanced solutions. Its got a face was and a day and night lotion for your face to keep it mouisturized. it really is a lot better than the acne wash. for the marks use the advanced solutions acne mark fading peel.

ok if you have some left over acne, keep using the acne waash or some Oxy brand pads to cleanse, then to get rid of marks, use a good brand of apricot scrub.
